College of Human Sciences
Fashion Camp
This five-day camp will teach skills taught in the Apparel Design Manufacturing program, such as sewing and fashion design/styling, with a fashion show grand finale.

Chef Camp will be one week at Skyviews Restaurant, with lunch provided and directed by professional chefs in the Hospitality & Retail Management department.

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math Camp
The Child Development Research Center Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) camp will ignite imaginations through an integrated STEAM approach to learning about the world. Campers will engage in creative, age-appropriate, hands-on projects, including various art projects.

Family & Consumer Sciences Education Camp
Engage in hands-on workshops and family and consumer sciences (FCS) activities that impact the community and beyond. Campers will learn from and connect with FCS educators, community/industry experts and college/university faculty. They will discover exciting FCS career paths in fashion and interior design, education and training, hospitality and tourism, human services, personal financial planning and more.

Next Level Nutrition Camp
Experiments and hands-on learning experiences will elevate campers’ understanding of sports nutrition, culinary medicine and nutritional sciences. The three- and four-day camps are offered at both the Texas Tech Lubbock and DFW campuses (more info in the DFW section).

J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts
Band & Orchestra Camp
Band & Orchestra Camp is for high school and middle school students. Tracks include Band, Orchestra, or Drum Major. Students may stay on-campus (if 13 years of age or older) or off-campus, including evening activities. Day camp for beginning-level band and orchestra students (who have at least one year of playing experience and are at least 11 years of age or older) in the Lubbock area.

All-State Choir Camp
Texas Tech University All-State Choir Camp offers a five-day camp focused on preparing for both the TMEA Small School and Large School All-State Choir auditions. Our camp includes four exciting evening activities: A Tour of Texas Tech, a beach party at the Texas Tech Leisure Pool & Lazy River, SQUAD WARS (a relay and social event style competition) and a full-scale talent show, showing off campers’ and counselors’ talents! Our week concludes with a final concert on Saturday, June 14, for family members and the local community.

Pre-College Immersion Program
The School of Art Pre-College Immersion Program offers high school students an immersive college experience in the fine arts. Students will live in the dorms, participate in extracurricular art activities, and take various fine art workshops, all in an atmosphere of university instruction. Our workshops offer students opportunities to learn new artmaking techniques through multiple mediums taught by talented Texas Tech artists. Further, students become connected to current professional insights regarding the vibrant opportunities available to future professionals working in the Fine Arts.

UIL Theatre & Technical Camp
Classes will be offered by directors who have won UIL State Technical Competitions in set design, makeup, costuming, lighting, set design, building and more. For those interested in acting, there will be an audition, rehearsals, and a one-act play performance.

UIL Speech & Debate Camp
Campers will learn about category, topic and resolution analysis. There will be interpretative performances and a showcase performance open to visitors. Topics covered will include research, argumentation, theory, resources, analysis and structure.

Innovation Hub at Research Park
Shark Tank Jr.
Co-hosted by the Innovation Hub and STEM CORE, this weeklong program immerses students in the exciting world of entrepreneurship with the STEM fields. Each day of the camp is jampacked with hands-on activities and learning experiences that take participants through the entrepreneurial journey. By the end of the week, participants and their teams share their innovations with a panel of “sharks” (judges) while their friends and family cheer them on!

Texas Tech at DFW
Swift and SwiftUI Camp
If you’re a student passionate about technology and app development, join us to launch your app idea. You’ll encounter a hands-on camp where you’ll learn the fundamentals of coding and create your own app using Swift and SwiftUI. The camp will cover topics such as coding fundamentals and logic, introduction to Swift and SwiftUI, user interface design principles, and hands-on app-building experience in Xcode. Campers will interact and experience state-of-the-art spatial computing with APPLE Vision Pro.

Future Red Raider Strength & Conditioning Camp
Students will learn proper mechanics for speed and reaction efficiency as well as form and technique to prep for high school weight room lifts. They will go over different aspects of nutrition with Texas Tech’s registered dietitian for Hospitality Services, Mindy Diller.

University Recreation Youth Summer Camp is exciting, fast-paced, and engaging for all skill levels. The program includes a wide variety of activities that focus on ensuring active participation and an overall entertaining experience.
