Senators Reintroduce Biosecurity Bill
Friday, Feb. 27, 2009: Two veteran U.S. lawmakers have reintroduced legislation aimed at increasing the safety and security of facilities that handle materials that could be used in acts of bioterrorism, U.S. Senator Richard Burr (R-N.C.) announced yesterday (see GSN, Aug. 22, 2008). The language in the new bill is virtually the same as the previous bill, S.B. 3127, which was introduced on June 12, 2008. (Use link from 3127 in Archived News).
