Style Direction

Our photography is inspired by the stories of those with progressive thoughts and trendsetting ideas. Interesting backgrounds set them apart from their surroundings. Presenting a feeling of being within and interactive with the space gives them room to think and create freely as only Red Raiders can. We capture people in the space where they create, explore and develop. Foundational ideas and practices of education are demonstrated with clever and original images illustrating individuality and personality. Photos can feature both individuals and groups, and while some will be staged with attention directed to the camera, most will highlight dynamic activities and angles with the goal of stirring interest, demonstrating loyalty, consistency, imagination and relationships.

Creative use of angles, perspective lines, and natural framing will draw the eye to the point of interest, creating a unique point of view compared to a more traditional setting.

The use of bold color while not being overly distracting is best. An image can be colorful without oversaturation processes. Avoid clutter unless intentional to illustrate a specific idea. Present a visual simplicity, but thought-provoking complexity with true, clean color that creates an element of intrigue and further inspection to detail. Never use filters or unnatural color for the environment or skin tones in post-processing methods.
