Commercial Filming

Texas Tech University requires that any commercial entity requesting to film or take photographs on campus coordinate with Marketing & Communications. Commercial filming and photography may include the following:

  • Television programs
  • Movies
  • Documentaries
  • Educational projects

All requests for commercial filming or photography must be made at least 30 days prior to the projected shooting date. A member of the Marketing & Communications team, in coordination with the Texas Tech University System Office of General Counsel and Texas Tech Contract Management, will provide the necessary release form(s) for signature prior to the shoot. Drone Photography/Videography

If you wish to use an unmanned aircraft system (drone) to take photos or video on campus, you must request permission through Texas Tech Police. Requests can be made by filling out this form and submitting it to Texas Tech Police for review.
